Developing New Opportunities

Development work is a key part of the offer from members of the Network. Regional Youth Work Units are recognised for their innovative and creative approaches to meeting the needs of young people.

From working with colleagues on jointly developed innovation initatives, to directly delivering leading-edge programmes, Units across the country are striving to break new ground in the ways services for young people are delivered.

The Units are able to utilise their broad networks, strong relationships across different sectors and extensive databases of best practice, to promote new ways of working with, and for, young poeple. Links to local authority youth services, the voluntary youth sector, Higher and Further Education and policy makers ensure that Regional Youth Work Units are at the forefront of new developments, and innovative approaches in the youth work sector.
